Early / Late Season – Child & Teen Max 5 Group Lesson (3-17), Full Day
Your lesson date must fall within Early / Late Season: Nov. 26 – Dec. 11, 2026; Apr. 5 – 18, 2027. Lessons on other dates will be repriced. Ages 3–17. Ages 3–6: lift ticket complimentary (free $0 Aspen Card required). Ages 7–17: add a discounted lift ticket for just $86 by selecting Yes under “Add Discounted Lift Ticket.” Lesson times 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM.
Max 5 Group Lessons – Kids & Teens (Ages 3–17)
Small-group, full-day lessons for young skiers and riders. Aspen Snowmass offers programs for ages 3 to 6 and ages 7 to 17; please review the details for your child’s age group below.
Max 5 Small-Group Lessons
All group lessons and clinics are capped at five people. Each participant must purchase a lesson or clinic. Smaller lessons mean more one-on-one attention and a more personalized experience on the mountain.
Ages 3 to 6
For ages 3 & 4, full-day lessons are ski only, at Snowmass & Buttermilk. Ages 5 & 6 include full-day lessons for both skiing and snowboarding at Snowmass & Buttermilk, or ski only at Aspen Highlands.
- Lesson times: 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Lift tickets are included — lift tickets are complimentary for children ages 6 & under (a free $0 Aspen Card is required).
- Ages 3 & 4: Ski only. Available at Buttermilk and Snowmass.
- Ages 5 & 6: Ski or snowboard. Available at Buttermilk, Snowmass, and Aspen Highlands (ski only — blue zone or higher).
- Helmets are required.
Ages 7 to 17
From groomers to glades, terrain parks to steeps, these lessons give your child or teen the skills and safety information they need.
- Lesson times: 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Lunch is included for ages 7–12 only. Teens ages 13–17 will need to bring lunch or lunch money.
- Teens and children with similar ability levels may be combined.
- Discounted lift ticket add-on: select Yes under “Add Discounted Lift Ticket” to add a lift ticket for the lesson day for just $86. Otherwise, each student ages 7–17 needs a valid lift ticket or pass.
- Helmets are required.
Equipment Rentals
Equipment rentals are not included with lessons, and helmets are required. Four Mountain Sports rentals are available in our Aspen Snowmass Equipment Rentals section.
If renting equipment, please allow a minimum of one hour to get fitted. If possible, pick up your rentals the evening before your first day on the slopes. Four Mountain Sports has nine convenient locations across all four mountains.
Ability Zones
Skier and rider zones range from Green to Black Zones. If you are unsure of your ability zone, please check the Aspen Snowmass lesson FAQ.
Ski School Season Dates (2026–2027)
Lesson prices are based on the season of your lesson date. Please select the product for the season that contains your lesson date.
- Early / Late Season: Nov. 26–Dec. 11, 2026; Apr. 5–18, 2027
- Regular Season: Dec. 12–18, 2026; Jan. 3–Feb. 7, 2027; Feb. 20–28, 2027
- Peak Season: Dec. 19–23, 2026; Mar. 1–Apr. 4, 2027
- Holiday Season: Dec. 24, 2026–Jan. 2, 2027; Feb. 8–19, 2027
Please note: Ski school season names and dates are different from lift ticket season names and dates.
Ordering Instructions
Lessons are sold one day at a time. Select your lesson date, complete the student information, and add the lesson to your shopping bag. For additional days, add the lesson again for each date; if a date falls in a different season, choose the product for that season.
Booking for more than one child? Each participant must purchase their own lesson. Add the first lesson to your bag, update the student information for the next child, and select Add More.
When all lessons have been added, proceed to checkout. You will have an opportunity to review your selections and student information before completing your order.
Cancellation & Change Policy
Every Ski & Snowboard School product requires a reservation.
Cancel or change your lesson 48 hours or more before the lesson date for a full refund.
